Ekphrasis - the intense verbal description of an art object that brings the object to life in the reader's mind.
Calling all poets! Submissions are now welcome for the Annual Ekphrasis contest, and must be submitted or postmarked by Monday, March 23rd. Professor Jeffrey Chapman will be this year's judge. Please help celebrate the inspired union of the verbal and visual arts and submit your original poems. There will be prizes. Poems will be read aloud at the Poetry Bash on April 15th, 5:30 pm, 208 Oak View Hall, Honors College. This event is open to students, faculty, alumni, and staff members.
