OU INC Hosting Women in Construction Week Lunch & Learn

OU INC will be hosting a Lunch & Learn in celebration of Women in Construction (WIC) Week on Thursday, March 5 from 11:30a.m.-3p.m. The focus of WIC week is to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry. WIC Week also provides an occasion for NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry.

At the Lunch & Learn, attendees will learn about several topics, including:


  •         Oakland University’s energy & green construction initiative
  •         Oakland University’s LEED buildings
  •         Oakland University’s Incubator program
  •         Energy-efficient commercial roof systems
  •         Energy incentives for insulation & roof membranes
  •         Roof$ense Analysis
  •         LEED credits for commercial roofs
  •         Emerging 2030 Detroit District
  •         Battle of the Buildings, Detroit
