GreenLight Business Model Competition March 31

The GreenLight Business Model Competition, created by Spartan Innovations, MSUFCU, LEAP, MEDC, and Michigan State University Innovation Center, will take place on March 31, 2015. In collaboration with the other creators, they have collaborated to serve as a hub for entrepreneurship in the greater Lansing area. The competition brings a unique identity and opportunity for startup companies.

Bringing together businesses that have been in existence for one year or less as new start-up ventures, this East Lansing event is attended by hundreds of business leaders and startups. The GreenLight Michigan Business Model Competition credits the support of their corporate and individual sponsors for their success. Contributions to GreenLight directly help emerging Michigan professionals become successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, and help launch new companies.

 This unique event brings together entrepreneurs from all over the State of Michigan to compete for $50,000 in prizes. Participants will pitch their ideas or new start-ups to an amazing panel of judges and have the opportunity to network with angel and venture capital investors from across Michigan. Top prize for the competition is $25,000, along with several other prizes in different categories, giving the potential to win $50,000 to start their business.

The competition is open to all students and business professionals. Whether you just have a well-though out business idea or you are a registered business identity based in Michigan for one year or less as of 3/31/15, you have the opportunity to qualify. Winning funds from the competition are utilized to start or propel business ventures in each local competition area.
