The Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio has been the Chamber Ensemble in Residence at the Kennedy Center in Wash. D.C. since the 2003-04 season. Pianist Joseph Kalichstein, violinist Jaime Laredo and cellist Sharon Robinson have been setting the standard for performance of piano trio literature for 38 years. They continue to make annual appearances at many of the world’s major concert halls, commission major new works and maintain an active recording agenda, all while balancing careers as internationally acclaimed soloists. Their many award-winning recordings include a beloved two-volume set of the complete Beethoven Trios.
On Friday, Feb. 6 and Saturday, Feb. 7 the Trio will perform two additional concerts at other venues. The three concerts together form the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Beethoven Festival, featuring the composer’s complete works for piano trio.
