A follow up to last fall’s very popular Business Major/Minor Expo, these speed-networking style events offer a quick, close-up view of specific business majors, including:


The events are open to all current OU students, but advance registration is required as space is limited.

 

“Student and employer interest in business majors is increasing,” says Debbie Lengyel, director, advising services at the business school. “Now is a great time for students to consider how a business degree might enhance their career plans.”

Business education provides the backbone for many public and private organizations, companies and corporations and is an important factor for a strong economy.

More than 75 percent of companies surveyed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers said they plan to hire business majors. In fact, business-related majors comprise six of the 10 most in-demand degrees employers are seeking: finance (57.4%), accounting (56.1%), business administration and management (47.5%), marketing (41.7%), supply chain management (39%), and management information systems (39%).
