Campus community reminded of snow emergency policy
The campus community is being reminded that Policy 483 – Parking in a Snow Emergency will remain in effect while most faculty, staff and students are away during the upcoming holiday break.
Policy 483 requires that vehicles be moved to specific lots whenever a snow emergency is declared – usually when 3 or more inches of snow has fallen or is forecast to fall.
Anyone planning to leave a vehicle on campus during the break is advised to move it to the covered levels of the P-29 and P-32 parking structures or the Ann
V. Nicholson and Matthews Court student apartment parking lots.
Should a snow emergency be declared over the holidays, all vehicles left in other Main Campus lots after 10 p.m. that day will be impounded at owners' expense. This includes vehicles parked in spaces where overnight parking is otherwise permitted – namely in P-1, P-3, P-5, P-11 and P-16.

Vehicles may need to be moved from snow emergency lots during holiday break.
