The office will host a Meet the Candidates Open Forum from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the Oakland Shotwell-Gustafson Pavilion – OU INCubator on the University’s campus.
“This event will feature a rare opportunity for potential voters to gain insight on candidates from this area who are running for office,” said Rochelle Black, vice president for Government and Community Relations. “This November will mark an important election for the nation, and will also determine the next leaders of our communities. I encourage all members of the university community and the general public to attend.”
Invited candidates include those running in state and countywide elections, including:
8th Congressional District – Ingham and Livingston Counties, plus a portion of Oakland County
11th Congressional District – portion of Wayne and Oakland counties, including Auburn Hills
14th Congressional District – portion of Wayne and Oakland counties, including Pontiac
13th District – portion of Oakland County, including Rochester Hills and Rochester
45th District – portion of Oakland County, including Rochester Hills and Rochester
