OU INC To Host D-NewTech Event October 1

OU INC will be hosting a D-NewTech (DNT) event on October 1. DNT is a group that is free to join and their events are free to attend. Aimed at entrepreneurs who are just starting out, DNT helps bring together entrepreneurs for collaboration. Being a place for startups and accelerator clients, the DNT effort fits directly into OU INC’s criteria.

As a serial entrepreneur and creator of 2 software companies, MentalNote and SchedFull, and now Kidpreneur, Thanh Tran understands the importance of collaboration with other entrepreneurs.

“For most wannabe and 1st time entrepreneurs, they don’t know where to start” said Tran. “The DNT is a great resource to pitch/demonstrate your idea and/or product/service.”

DNT holds a standard event that meets the first Wednesday of every month in various co-working spaces around SE Michigan. The reasoning for the variation in meeting spaces is to showcase some of the locations where entrepreneurs can work and find resources. Meeting even take place at startup companies as well that can inspire new entrepreneurs.

“The objective is also to allow entrepreneurs to share their biz by doing a 5 minute presentation, followed by a 5 minute Q&A from the audience” said Tran.

In addition to allowing for the businesses to pitch their ideas, there is also a guest speaker that is either an investor and/or CEO of a company that opens the meeting. The guest speaker often gives the presenters another reason to be prepared because there is an investor listening.

DNT has around 1130 members and meets monthly. Joining is easy and free, just visit D-NewTech at www.DNewTech.org
