Bringing Ideas To Market

For Oakland University student Joseph Ciaravino the decision to take an internship at OU INC was an easy one. Majoring in Operations Management, Ciaravino decided that an opportunity to work with innovative startups and successful companies was an opportunity that he could not pass up.

As the communications and marketing intern for OU INC, Ciaravino is responsible for handling marketing efforts, social media, and connecting with new clients. Promoting events, writing and releasing press releases, and writing the OU INC newsletter all fall under Ciaravino’s responsibilities.

Ciaravino grew up in Washington, MI and is the youngest of 4 siblings. In his spare time, Ciaravino likes playing and watching sports, spending time with friends and family, and watching movies. Ciaravino recently got married in June and spent a week in the Eastern Caribbean for his honeymoon.

In the future, Ciaravino sees himself working for a consulting firm or owning a consulting business. Having extensive experience in management, combining the skills he is learning at OU INC will be a great addition toward building that future. Ciaravino’s words of advice are “Don’t be afraid to push your limits. Always continue to grow and constantly try to make yourself better than you are today.” Ciaravino said that through his internship at OU INC he has gained valuable insight into areas where businesses need help and how to help businesses develop into success stories.
