Setting the bar high is what OU Inc intern Jason Skulsky
likes to do with everything. Double majoring in Finance and Accounting, Skulsky
was recommended by the Dean of the Honors College for the Sustainability
Metrics Internship position at OU Inc this summer. Skulsky is also an Oakland
University Presidential Scholar and a Member of the Honors College at Oakland
University.
As the sustainability metrics intern, Jason is responsible
for developing a new set of metrics to determine the benefit of OU INC to
Oakland University, helping to complete the Global Benchmark Survey,
Benchmarking processes of other successful university business incubators, and
organizing monthly metrics spreadsheets/databases for ease of use.
Growing up in West Bloomfield, MI, Skulsky is the youngest
of five siblings. When not at Oakland or working for OU INC, Jason likes to go
swimming, walking, spending time with friends and family, and even works at
Kroger also.
In the future, Skulsky sees himself working in the Accounting field, obtaining his CPA license and possibly an MBA. Skulsky said that he has gained value
through his internship with OU INC by being able to work with client companies
and the experience he has gained from working in a business environment.
Skulsky’s words of advice are “Always try your best; anything less is not good
enough.” With Skulsky’s combination of strong work ethic and determination, it
is clear that he on his way to a bright future.
