Dr. Suzanne Spencer-Wood's major review article "The Archaeology of Childhood," as one of the Oxford Bibliographies, won
an award as Best in Class in the category "Reference," from Interactive
Media Awards in 2013 (awarded in July), and was an Editor's Pick in
Choice Magazine in August 2013. In addition, the Encyclopedia of Consumption and Waste, to which Dr. Spencer-Wood
contributed two entries, won the Library Journal's Best Reference Award
for 2012. Dr. Spencer-Wood also has renewed her position as Associate of Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University.
