Redesigned, renamed OU ID card dons the Elliott Tower

The official university ID card is getting a new look and a new name.

Working in conjunction with the Oakland University Credit Union, faculty, staff and students can replace their current SpiritCard and SpiritCard PLUS cards with new GRIZZCards or GRIZZ Gold Cards.

As did their predecessors, GRIZZCards will serve as official university ID, granting holders continued access to:
  • campus buildings and rooms equipped with electronic entry readers;
  • the Recreation Center;
  • Kresge Library services;
  • GRIZZCa$h transactions for dining, printing, copying, some campus vending and point-of-sale services, and;
  • a 5 percent GRIZZCa$h discount on textbooks at the Barnes & Noble University Bookstore;
  • for OU faculty and staff, a 10 percent GrizzCa$h discount on all other merchandise except software special orders, computer hardware, health and beauty aids, sale merchandise, rings, snack items and periodicals.
Those electing to take advantage of the GRIZZ Gold Card will have quick and easy access to their Oakland University Credit Union Totally Gold Checking accounts, given that these cards double as VISA debit cards.

Totally Gold accounts offer a number of advantages, including no monthly fees and no minimum balance, free bill payment and 24/7 account access via ComputerLine, Gold on the Go mobile banking, the OUCU Mobile App, MoneyLine, and CO-OP Network ATMs. To learn more, visit oucreditunion.org.

Those choosing to keep their SpiritCards rather than switching to the GRIZZCard GRIZZ Gold Card need take no action and can rest assured that their cards will remain active and fully functional moving forward.

Both GRIZZCards and GRIZZ Gold Cards are available now at the ID Card Office in Oakland Center. The first card issued is free and replacements are $10. To learn more, visit oakland.edu/grizzcard.
