Family focuses on positive by sharing daughter's spirit

Hailey Brouillet, second from left, and fellow students in a Council on International Education Exchange study abroad program show off VIP passes that allowed them to enter Dutch parliament buildings in the Binnenhof.
Eight months after the tragic loss of 20-year-old Hailey Brouillet, her family is looking to share her spirit with Oakland University students for years to come. The goal is to raise $25,000 to establish an endowment in Hailey's name. The funds will support an annual scholarship that will provide opportunities for OU students to enjoy what Hailey considered the best experience of her life — study abroad.

The campaign to raise funds is being called "Share Her Spirit," with a golf outing on July 28. Donations are also being accepted through OU's giving website

Follow the campaign on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.
