The 49 bronze bells are on site at Oakland University and ready to begin their ascent to the top of the Elliott Carillon tower. They will be lifted into place over the next several days.
The largest bell weighs in at 5,000 pounds and is 5 feet in diameter. Inscribed with the quote "The true net worth of a person is what he does for others," it will play a low C.
