Re: Common Core
APLU was approached about signing a statement in support of the Common Core State Standards. We have agreed to do so, as have others, including the National Association of System Heads (NASH) and the Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU). The statement will be issued publicly in a few days. See the attached statement. These standards are important.
Note that APLU is not putting together a document in which we ask institutions to sign on, as we do from time to time. However, if you wish to register your institution’s support for the statement on a website, you can do so by emailing Shannon Gilkey at sgilkey@edstrategy.org
