Oakland University hosts Camp College 2014, a one-day workshop encouraging underserved (first-generation, minority, rural area, low-income) Metro Detroit high school students to consider and prepare for post-secondary education. Camp College expects nearly 250 students this year, grades 9-11, and allows participants to attend several break-out sessions throughout the day.

Students will also learn about about admissions, financial aid basics and hear a keynote address from Dr. Glenn McIntosh, interim vice president of Student Affairs at Oakland University.
Camp College strives to educate those involved in the process of planning for post-secondary education, promote and protect the interests of students involved in the post-secondary education planning process and to develop and maintain high standards which foster ethical and social responsibility among those involved in the process of planning for postsecondary education.
Camp College 2014 will take place on Friday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
