April 2014 Newsletter: Entrepreneurial Events: "Entre-SLAM Storytelling Workshop Testimonial"

This past winter, the Macomb-OU INCubator jointly-sponsored Entre-SLAM through the Business Accelerator Network of Southeast Michigan (BANSEM), a collaborative effort also including Automation Alley, Ann Arbor SPARK and TechTown. Entre-SLAM, a storytelling competition for entrepreneurs, is a fun-filled evening of telling tales of entrepreneurship as opposed to the standard elevator pitch. Check out the Mac-OU INC blog post highlighting the event.

The excitement of the event continued on into this spring with a workshop for entrepreneurs’ to develop their stories, hosted by Entre-SLAM Co-Founder, Christa Chambers-Price. A few Mac-OU INC clients were able to attend and found great benefits for startups.

“I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to take the Entre-SLAM workshop. The best part was being able to meet so many wonderful people and being able to learn from Christa. The main purpose, of course, was to learn how to present our company’s story more effectively and I made great progress in that regard, too. Having the class members’ feedback was very helpful since sometimes we are so deep into our own product that we can’t see the forest for the trees,” Denny Henson, Mac-OU INC client and President and CEO of Map-N-Tour, says.
