Alumni can also get active with OU, as the Let's Move campaign comes to Macomb County.

Registration is underway to participate in the Oakland University-Macomb 2014 Let's Move Festival of Races on Saturday, April 26 in downtown Mount Clemens.

Organized by the Macomb Health and Fitness Foundation, Inc., the festival promotes health and fitness with a 5K run/walk, a half-marathon and team relay half-marathon, and one mile river walk and children's one mile run.

The festival was inspired by the national Let's Move campaign, which was established by First Lady Michelle Obama in 2010 and is designed to fight childhood obesity by encouraging families to live healthy and active lifestyles.

OU alumni are invited to stop by the OU-Macomb tent on race day to pick up a free t-shirt. The festival kicks off with opening ceremonies at 8 a.m.

Register online today or click here to print a registration form. For more information about the Let's Move organization or upcoming festival, visit letsmovefestival.com.
