Business Day program provides glimpse into OU offerings

Oakland University's Business Day 2014 will be held on Saturday, March 8. The event will provide prospective high school and transfer students with important information on degrees in accounting, actuarial science, business economics, finance, general management, human resource management, management information systems, marketing and operations management.

The event is a collaborative program between the School of Business Administration and Undergraduate Admissions

"People find value in spending the day with us and learning more about what we have to offer," said Dr. Michael Mazzeo, dean of Oakland University's School of Business Administration. "Business Day provides an overview of how our program helps college students evolve into business professionals ready to launch successful careers."

Business Day participants will be provided a campus tour and the opportunity to chat with faculty, staff, alumni and current students.  They can also learn about available scholarships, admissions requirements and the wide variety of academic programs offered within the School of Business Administration. A complimentary continental breakfast is included.

"I recommend prospective students attend the Business Day program to see if Oakland University is a good fit for them," added Dawn Aubry Slowik, associate director of Undergraduate Admissions.

This is the third year that Oakland has offered the Business Day program, attracting hundreds of potential students.

Registration is required to attend Business Day on Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Oakland Center and Elliott Hall. Reserve a spot today online or by calling 800-OAK-UNIV.
