Registration discount for Great Lakes Business Intelligence & Big Data Summit

As part of the Oakland University School of Business Administration’s sponsorship of the 2014 Great Lakes Business Intelligence and Big Data Summit at the Troy Marriott, March 13, Oakland University faculty, staff and students can take advantage of a 25 percent discount off the registration fee when they use their Oakland.edu e-mail and the discount code of OUBI.

 

Keynote speeches The Cautionary Side of Big Data by Rebecca D. Costa, sociobiologist and author of The Watchman’s Rattle and Big Data Tools for Battling Complexity in the Modern World by Gary Robinson, program director, IBM Big Data bookend a full day agenda of parallel tracks.

 

Business intelligence and data warehousing case studies will be presented in two tracks by a host of industry experts, while organizations such as QlikView, Microsoft, Hortonworks, Informatica and iDashboards will share technology innovations and presentations in the third track.

 

Last year, more than 175 of the area's top business and technology leaders, from Fortune 500 companies to mid-size and small companies from all over Michigan and Ohio attended the summit.
