Distinguished scholar to lead group counseling conference on March 7
Dr. Sam Gladding, past-president of the American Counseling Association and Counseling Department chair and professor at Wake Forest University, will hold a Group Counseling conference on Friday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Banquet Rooms A and B in Oakland Center.
Dr. Gladding will discuss how leaders can effectively aid group development, while additional sessions will focus on adolescents, addictive disorders, divorce recovery, counseling in schools, traumatic brain injury and multiculturalism.
The conference, sponsored by Chi Sigma Iota and the Michigan Association for Specialists in Group Work, is free to all Oakland University students, faculty and staff. Those seeking additional information should email csi20132014@gmail.com.
