Academic Affairs professional earns prestigious appointment
Lori Crose, Oakland Univesity's director of operations and development for continuing education strategic programs, was recently elected secretary of the University Professional & Continuing Education Association UPCEA Central Region. UPCEA is the leading association for professional, continuing and online education.
In her role at Oakland, Crose has administrative responsibility for educational programs including credit and non-credit certificates, re-licensure training, certification training and retooling programs at and above the post-bachelor level.
She is responsible for developing high quality, innovative programming that will align with county, state, and federal employment trends and has been charged with connecting with government and with the business community through her previous work with the School of Business Administration.
Founded in 1915, UPCEA now serves more than 365 institutions, including most of the leading public and private colleges and universities in North America. The association serves its members with innovative conferences and specialty seminars, research and benchmarking information, professional networking opportunities and timely publications.
Based in Washington, D.C., the UPCEA also builds greater awareness of the vital link between adult learners and public policy issues.
Crose will assume the secretary position in April 2014.
