OU enthusiastic as newest members of the Horizon League
One of the top performing leagues in NCAA Division I, Oakland University's 2014 Homecoming will be the first homecoming game as members of the Horizon League.
Although this will be the third game played as a member of the Horizon League, this will be the first homecoming game the Grizzlies will play as a part of the league. Their first game as a member will be against Wright State on January 2 and against Valparaiso on January 4, 2014.
Established in 1979, the league is a nine-collegiate athletic conference associated with NCAA Division I and one of the top performing leagues in the NCAA. It is best known for its basketball teams.
There are nine teams represented in basketball from all nine schools. Schools in the Horizon League include schools such as University of Detroit-Mercy, University of Illinois-Chicago and Milwaukee University.
