Event offers leadership, work experience opportunities
Oakland University students are invited to learn about a diverse range of student leadership positions and network with prospective campus employers at the second annual Student Leader Recruitment Fair.
Offices including Orientation and New Student Programs, the Center for Multicultural Initiatives, Pre-College Programs, University Housing, Admissions, the Recreation Center, Career Services and the Center for Student Activities will provide information on opportunities to acquire leadership and employment experience.
Leadership positions highlighted at the event will include orientation group leaders, peer mentors, night watch, resident assistants, housing and admissions ambassadors, and many more. Past and current student leaders will be on hand to answer questions about these positions, selecting opportunities to meet interests and goals, and the application process.
Set from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, the event will take place in Gold Room C of Oakland Center. The setting is informal and students can expect a lively and friendly atmosphere, giveaways, prizes and refreshments. No registration is required.
