October 2013 Newsletter: Client Company Spotlight: North Coast Industrial Engineering

Launched in 2007, North Coast Industrial Imaging (NCII) provides high-quality imaging products and services to businesses and industrial concerns in the Great Lakes Region. NCII is the newest Macomb-OU INCubator I-Hub member and winner of BOOST! Macomb, Mac-OU INC’s first pitch competition.

“I was honored to be selected as the winner of the very first BOOST! Macomb pitch competition. The other participants were outstanding and stand as signal of the good things to come for our region,” Barry Sutherland, NCCI president, says.

“I am looking forward to spending time at the Macomb-OU INCubator now that I am a member and beginning to collaborate with other innovators!”

In addition to representing several manufacturers of imaging devices and software, NCII also provides thermal imaging services such as electrical audits, injection molding cooling audits and building audits. NCII works with diverse business to develop customized imaging applications, such as automotive scrap identification and sorting. NCII was a semi-finalist in the 2010 and 2011 Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competitions and a finalist in the 2013 MIT –SAE Global Automotive Industry Innovation Challenge, in addition to wining the recent BOOST! Macomb.
