Laneway Festival tickets discounted for OU students


Oakland University students may purchase up to four discounted tickets to the Laneway Festival, an all day festival, for only $25 each. 

The festival will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Meadow Brook Music Festival. A variety of indie rock, pop, rock, punk, dance, hip hop and R&B musicians will perform throughout the day on five separate stages. The lineup includes The Dismemberment Plan, Solange, Icona Pop, My Brightest Diamond, Run the Jewls, Chvrchs and Deerhunter, among many others.

The festival will be also host local vendors and food trucks. The Meadow Brook Music Festival will be the first American venue to host the Laneway Festival. 

Initiated in Australia in 2004, Laneway Festival has grown to become an international touring event known for picking successful acts early in their careers. Previous European lineups included Feist, Gotye, The Hold Steady, Florence and the Machine and Mumford Sons.

Students must show their OU ID and can purchase discounted tickets at the CSA Service Window, located in the lower level of the Oakland Center. For service window hours, visit the CSA’s website or call (248) 370-4407.
OU students can get discounted tickets to the Laneway Festival for $25. The all day event will feature multiple indie and alternative rock bands on Saturday, Sept. 14.
