OUPD issues campus safety alert

The Auburn Hills Police Department is investigating an allegation of sexual assault that occurred at about 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, in a grassy area located on the north side of Walton Blvd. near the entrance to the Beacon Hill Apartments.

It is alleged that three white males, two on bicycles and one on foot, approached the victim and that one inappropriately touched her. All three subjects are described as 20-21 years of age, of average height and weight, clean shaven and wearing relatively short hair.

All three subjects fled the area following contact with the victim and their whereabouts are unknown.

The Oakland University Police Department advises members of the campus community to walk in groups, remain alert to their surroundings and to report any suspicious or threatening activity as quickly as possible.
