The Senate today by a margin of 68-32 passed S. 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act. Attention now turns to the House where a bipartisan group of seven Members of Congress are struggling to reach a deal on a comprehensive immigration reform bill. Meanwhile, the House Judiciary Committee is proceeding with piecemeal immigration reform bills. Click here to view the roll call.
APLU released a statement praising the Senate for passage of the legislation.
Thank you to the CGA for encouraging Senators to vote for the bill and working in support of our recommended legislative fixes.
