What are the ingredients to business success? Ask most people, and they will include hard work, integrity, intelligence, a great product/service, perseverance, passion, accountability, etc. But what about Emotional Intelligence (EI)? Do you ever wonder why some people with a very high IQ are not successful? Or how some people who don't seem to have a particularly high IQ are very successful?
Michael Schwartz, founder of Positive Concepts and BLSR Associates, will introduce Emotional Intelligence and detail its value, including the business case for EI, how EI may help improve your bottom line and how EI can help in and out of the workplace.
Michael founded Positive Concepts to provide training, education and consulting services, and recently founded BLSR Associates with several colleagues to expand offerings by joining complementary skills and expertise. He has successfully applied various leadership theories and principles in leading numerous work groups and project teams to successful project completion, and he has taught in a variety of venues including college courses and adult continuing education.
Michael received his Bachelor of Science from New York Institute of Technology, his MBA from Indiana University and his Doctor of Business Administration at Lawrence Technological University, with research focused on leadership and motivation. Michael holds a Professional Engineer status and Projection Management Professional Certification. He is a member of the Academy of Management, the Project Management Institute, the Society of Automotive Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Follow Mac-OU INC:
