Biochemistry major Hanna Trzeciakiewicz was awarded the
Michael P. and Elizabeth A. Kenny Merit Scholarship for the Sciences
. Trzeciakiewicz is performing research with Assistant Professor
Sanela Martic
, of the
Department of Chemistry
, to investigate the
Tau protein
that is commonly associated with neurodegenerative diseases such as
Alzheimer's disease
