MAComb-OU INCubator

THE SOCIAL MEDIA CLUB OF DETROIT IS PROUD TO PRESENT ITS SECOND IN A SERIES OF SOCIAL MEDIA EDUCATION CLASSES:

SOCIAL MEDIA: Are You Listening?

TUESDAY, MAY 21, 2013

9 until 10 a.m.

Macomb-OU INCubator
at Velocity Collaboration Center
6633 Eighteen Mile Road, Sterling Heights, Mich. 48314

The first part of any successful social media strategy is to learn how to listen to what's going on via the social channels. By listening, you can learn what is being said about you or your brand, about your competition, what potential customers want and what actual customers are experiencing.

In this class, Daivd Murray, manager of social media for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, will talk about the art and science of listening via social media. He will talk about how to go about it, what to listen for, why it's important and what tools you can use to enhance your social listening. This class is ideally suited for business owners large and small, students and communication professionals.

David is the founder of Social Media Club Detroit, and is a national speaker on digital communications and social media best practices. He has spoken at BlogWorld and TEDx events. David has also been featured in Wall Street Journal Online and David Meerman Scott's book, "The New Rules of PR and Marketing."
