OU physics alum Vanessa Punal is awarded NSF graduate fellowship

Vanessa Punal, a physics major who graduated from OU last year, was recently awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship. Punal is currently a graduate student studying Neuroscience at Duke University. She performed undergraduate research at OU with CBR member Brad Roth, of the Department of Physics, and Dao-Qi Zhang of the Eye Research Institute.

The deadline for applying for an NSF Graduate Fellowship is usually in November. OU student who are juniors now should consider applying this fall.
