The savory aromas and exotic thrills of a Moroccan bazaar will transform Oakland University’s campus this spring, for the International Night 2013 celebration.
The annual event, set for 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 15, in the Oakland Center Banquet Rooms, will offer food, music, entertainment, fashion, and a variety of multicultural displays.
“We are very excited for this event, as it is the finale of the semester’s multicultural events and a great opportunity for different cultures to get together, work together, learn from one another, appreciate one another and put together this fun event,” said Petra Knoche, assistant director of the International Students and Scholars Office.
“This year’s theme is International Bazaar because we want people to experience the fun environment of a marketplace or bazaar where we will have different displays and hands-on activities, live music and performances, and food.”
This year’s theme, “International Bazaar,” arts and crafts, multicultural displays, entertainment and food samples from all over the world.
