Senior Class Gift event offers coffee, philanthropic opportunities
The Oakland University Senior Class Gift Committee will observe the first-ever Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day on Thursday, Feb. 28, by giving away coffee and educating students about the 2013 OU Senior Class Gift.
Supporters are invited to stop by the Senior Class Gift table in the Oakland Center from noon to 2 p.m. Students who stop by will receive a free cup of coffee and learn more about how the Senior Class Gift supports OU students.
The committee offers seniors an opportunity to leave a legacy as they make the transition from students to alumni. These donations will fund a variety of scholarships to help future generations of golden grizzlies earn an OU degree.
This event is being held in partnership with CASE ASAP and more than 40 universities to enhance philanthropy awareness and engage higher education students worldwide.
Contributions to the Senior Class Gift can be made online at oakland.edu/scg. Donors have the option to designate a gift in honor or memory of someone.
