This two-part event will be sandwiched with networking opportunities with the workshop leaders and investor panelists. The workshop will help participants understand what successful crowdfunding strategies look like and how to craft one. The panel discussion will give attendees an opportunity to ask questions about what investors are really looking for.

Chris Seago, Bizdom Accelerator Leadership Team:
Chris is an accomplished business leader with significant P&L experience running businesses and managing projects. His diverse background includes founding and successfully operating his own group of diversified companies, including several marketing communications firms and a flight simulation company. Prior to that, Chris was a creative principal at several national ad agencies and has supported marketing and ad campaigns for many national brands. Just prior to joining the Bizdom team, Chris served as an appointed U.S. diplomat as Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer at the International Joint Commission, a binational organization between the United States and Canada focusing on major issues facing the nations of the Great Lakes region with offices located in Washington, D.C., Ottawa and Windsor, Ontario.
Joe Licavoli, Manager of Capital Programs, Ann Arbor SPARK:
In this role, Joe manages the execution of the SPARK's Pre-Seed Loan and Pre-Seed Investment efforts. He has 27 years' experience in financial and human capital management, having previously led teams for Kelly Services, Covansys/CSC, Ramsoft and Synova. Joe is currently involved in the Michigan Shifting Gears program as a mentor, working 1:1 with program attendees for networking opportunities, practice interviews and career advice. He earned his Bachelors of Arts from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business.
Jack Ahrens, Managing Partner, TGap Ventures:
Jack has been a venture capitalist and fund administrator since 1979; first as President of United Capital Corporation of Illinois (an SBIC); since 1983 as a General Partner of Pathfinder Venture Capital Funds I, II and III; and since 2002, Founding General Partner of TGap Ventures. Prior to that, he had seven years' experience in bank trust investments and operations. He became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) in 1982, and has advanced training at the American Institute of Banking, NASBIC Management Institute and Stanford Advance Management College. He is a graduate of Indiana University.
Remos Lenio, Managing Director, DWH:
Remos has a background in corporate finance as an investment banker. Mr. Lenio began his professional career as part of the workout division of a large bank, dealing with extensive troubled oil and gas credits. Lenio received an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Central Michigan University.
