As part of its commitment to expanding access to degree programs in Macomb County, Oakland University now offers the Master of Business Administration at its Anton/Frankel Center in Mount Clemens.
To introduce the program to Macomb County and surrounding communities, OU is hosting information sessions for prospective students Thursday, Feb. 28, 6-7 p.m. at OU’s Anton/Frankel Center, 20 South Main Street, Mount Clemens, and Tuesday, March 19, from 6-7 p.m., at St. Clair Community College, MTEC Building, Room 210, 323 Erie Street, Port Huron.
Attendees will learn about the advantages of an Oakland University MBA, discover career opportunities for MBA graduates, and talk to faculty and recent graduates. The sessions will cover the flexible program options OU offers, including traditional on-campus, evening, in-person/online blended and online programs.
OU MBA students can choose among concentrations in finance, marketing, accounting, management information systems, human resource management, international business, business economics, production/operations management, entrepreneurship and supply chain management.
“This program covers the full range of business functions and is in high demand by employers,” says Kim Serota, visiting professor of marketing, who advises OU’s MBA students in Macomb County.
An MBA offers definite career advantages. A recent Graduate Management Admission Council survey reports that US employers expect to pay MBA graduates more than new hires with a bachelor’s degree, translating on average, to $40,000 more per year for MBA graduates.
Shelby Township resident and 2012 OU MBA graduate Sheri Profant observes how her MBA has helped in her business development role in Ground Combat Systems for Sterling Heights-based General Dynamics Land Systems, a leader in the design, development, production, support and enhancement of military vehicles.

Available Oakland University’s Anton Frankel Center in Mount Clemens, the MBA is among 25 degree programs Oakland University offers at its three Macomb County locations.
