Hunter Vaughan's New Publication: Where Film Meets Philosophy

Congratulations to Hunter Vaughan for the publication of his new book, Where Film Meets Philosophy (Columbia University Press).

Where Film Meets Philosophy
interweaves Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology and Deleuzean image-philosophy to theorize cinema's ability to challenge conventional modes of thought.  Focusing on the formative 1960s films of Alain Resnais and Jean-Luc Godard, Where Film Meets Philosophy explores the radical potential of film form and reveals the symbiotic evolution of cinema and twentieth-century philosophy.
