OU-Macomb to sponsor the Macomb County Santa Parade on Nov. 23
The Oakland University and OU-Macomb communities will once again participate in the Macomb County Santa Parade. This year's event will kick off at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, at Main Street in historic downtown Mount Clemens.
The parade, sponsored by OU-Macomb, will begin at Church Street and will proceed north to Market Street. Continuing tradition, the parade is held the day after Thanksgiving to usher in the holiday season and celebrate the arrival of Santa Claus. This year's Grand Marshal is Sergeant Davin Dumar.
Oakland University students, the OU dance and cheer teams and mascots Grizz and Claws will participate in the event this year.
Any students interested in participating in the parade will receive a free OU-Macomb hat, scarf and glove set to keep warm! To participate, students and staff members should contact OU-Macomb at (248) 370-3910 by Wednesday, Nov. 21.
