Business leaders are invited to learn about the importance of proper social media dialogue during the Macomb-OU INCubator's next Lunch and Launch event on Thursday, Nov. 8.
Nicole Sunstrum, the State of Michigan's social media specialist and chair of the Statewide Social Media Board, will present a discussion centering on the question, "Are you listening?" Participants will gain insight into the conversations of their customers, advocates and competition, as well as learn to identify beneficial communication strategies that enhance the bottom line.
Sunstrum is responsible for coordinating a unified presence and strategy for state departments, agencies and programs on social media. Her role includes policy creation, consulting and training aimed at ensuring all accounts provide additional value to Michigan citizens.
Serving as the content and community manager for enterprise MIGov social media accounts, which rank as the third largest state government presence in the nation, Sunstrum also oversees the state economic development agency profiles and the niche community, Pure Michigan Car Culture.
Her free lecture, set for noon to 1 p.m. at the Macomb-OU INCubator, will include a question and answer period. Attendees should bring their own lunch, though beverages and dessert will be provided.
