LinkedIn strategy webinar to assist job seekers on Nov. 13

Looking for a new job? Preparing to make a career change? The Oakland University Alumni Association is hosting a free career development webinar from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
A computer with an internet connection and speakers are required to connect to the live webinar, which will feature job-related tips and strategies from Oakland alumnus Matthew Karrandja, who will present “LinkedIn Strategies for Job Seekers and Networking.” As an avid user of this popular networking website, Karrandja has taught hundreds of people strategies for using LinkedIn as a powerful tool for finding meaningful employment.
Karrandja, CAS ’97, has been in the recruiting industry for more than 14 years and is considered an expert in the industry. He is also the executive director of Career Ministries of Michigan, which has more than 5,000 members. The organization provides free resources to those that are in a career transition. To date, Matthew has put more than 2,000 people to work and his career ministries group has helped 4,000 people get back to work.
The OUAA is hosting a free career development webinar on Nov. 13, titled “LinkedIn Strategies for Job Seekers and Networking.
