OUCARES to roll out the red carpet for student film premiere

Films to be presented center on the theme "30 Minutes Tonight" – a play on the popular television programs "60 Minutes" and "Entertainment Tonight." With guidance from well-known actor, director and entertainer Joey Travolta, groups of students in the two-week film camp wrote, casted and produced short films themselves.

Travolta and OUCARES leaders created the film camp – one of only six in the country – as a unique opportunity for youth on the autism spectrum to immerse themselves in the arts while in a supportive and inclusive setting.

The Red Carpet Film Premiere, which is open to the public, will take place in the Oakland Center on the campus of Oakland University. For interactive and printable maps, visit oakland.edu/map.
