Gordon Lindsay - Spotlight on OU

2013 AUFD Spotlight on OU Questionnaire

Gordon Lindsay
Team Captain — Athletics Administration

If you were a spy what would your alias be?

Big Papa

What do you like best (or miss most) about your hometown?

I appreciate the variety (spice of life) that was afforded me growing up at the corner of Squirrel and Walton Blvd. Church, School, Meadowbrook Music Theater, Pine Knob, Lions, Tigers, Pistons just to name a few…of course I had the best family and friends to share these experiences with.

If you could be invisible for one day, what would you do?

I think it would be a hoot to follow our Director of Athletics Tracy Huth around for a day at work... enough said!

What is your favorite part of your day?

I enjoy the start of each day… “joy comes in the morning”

Do you give to other charities beyond OU? Which ones and why?

Yes. I give to the church I attend, Woodside Bible; my high school, Oakland Christian; my college, Cornerstone University and of course my four favorite charities, Alexandria, Sarah, Gabe and Cosette (my children).

What or who inspires you to give to AUFD?

Without question the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our student athletes gives me great personal joy. I also truly appreciate the very generous incentive Dr. Russi gives us all with his presidential match.
