Message from your Acting Dean:
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Welcome to the Fall 2012 semester! It is my privilege and honor to serve the faculty and students that make up the College of Arts and Sciences this year as your acting dean.
With the retirement of Dean Ron Sudol, a long-serving member of the College and the university, we have new challenges to face as we look to the future of the College and the priorities for the coming year. As a faculty member of the College for fifteen years, I have seen the excellent work of my colleagues and the unflagging dedication to our students, and I am proud of all their accomplishments.
In an economic environment that has presented daunting challenges over the past several years, the College has not lost, but rather, has gained momentum in its contributions to academic programming. We are impressively resilient and creative, and I am humbled by this opportunity to lead us forward through a transitional year. Our student enrollment continues to grow, and our faculty numbers increase every year. I invite you to learn about the new faculty joining the College this year.
