Bucks for Books contest offers money for college textbooks

Oakland University students have a chance to win money for new textbooks this semester, through a contest across Metro Detroit.
Michigan First Credit Union and the Young & Free Michigan program are giving away $1,500 to Metro Detroit college students to help pay for textbooks as part of the Bucks for Books textbook giveaway.
As part of the Bucks for Books giveaway, students at the local schools with the most contest entries have an opportunity to win $500, $300 and $200 prizes.
The deadline to sign up for the Bucks for Books giveaway contest is Tuesday, Sept. 18.
