Student Organic Farmers to sell fresh produce on campus

By Samantha Skovran, media relations assistant

As the fall semester approaches, the agricultural season ends for Oakland University’s Student Organic Farmers as they are beginning to harvest and sell the crops they have produced this summer.

Vigilantly working to protect and nurture their all-organic farm located on the southeast end of campus, the student organic farmers finally get to see their finished product.

They will sell their produce at a weekly farm stand every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., located between North and South Foundation Hall.

During Welcome Week, the farm stand will temporarily move to another centralized location on Oakland’s campus. Details will be posted on the groups Facebook page.
Also, the group welcomes students, faculty, staff, and the general public to visit the Student Organic Farmers Facebook page to find out what fresh food will be sold each week, as well as opportunities to get involved.
