SON and SHS plan for move to new Human Health Building

In preparation for the fall semester, Oakland University’s School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences will be relocated to the new Human Health Building. The campus community is advised to plan ahead as this transition will result in a temporary reduction of services.

The move will take place on Friday, Aug. 10. During that day, all offices in the School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences will be closed. However, those with immediate concerns can contact the School of Nursing at (248) 370-4253 or the School of Health Sciences at (248) 370-3562.

Additionally, both schools will suspend academic advising services from Monday, Aug. 6, through Friday, Aug. 17. Full services will resume on Monday, Aug. 20.

The 172,000-square-foot Human Health Building is located on the northwest corner of Oakland’s nearly 1,500 acre campus. Designed to be energy efficient and sustainable, the state-of-the-art facility utilizes advanced green technology and is the first higher education building in Michigan to be certified as Leed Platinum.
