For 37 years, Richard Stamps, associate professor of anthropology and
Oakland University, has worked with students to expand their world view
-- both culturally and academically. A recipient of the Honorary
Alumnus Award from the OU Alumni Association, OU's Teaching Excellence
Award, and the Michigan Association of Governing Boards of Colleges and
Universities Distinguished Faculty Award, he will present his last
lecture September 14 before retiring from OU.
The lecture, entitled "Reflections and Connections" will be held on
Friday, September 14, 2012 in the Oakland Center Gold Rooms. Doors open
at 4:00, the lecture begins at 4:15 and there will be a dessert
reception to follow.
