First annual Leadership Seminar in Occupational Health and Safety
The first annual Leadership Seminar in Occupational Health and Safety will be held at Oakland University on Thursday, September 27, 2012. This seminar will focus on the importance of leadership action in creating a safe and healthy workplace.
Seminar objectives:
Provide leadership with tools to achieve a high performance safety program.
Illustrate and discuss the importance of leadership actions in a world class safety and health program.
Demonstrate the importance of achieving a world class safety and health program in an increasingly smaller world.
Show how to align a safety and health program with business goals.
Display how Oakland University can provide training, counseling and other services in assisting businesses in achieving their goals.
Join experienced business leaders from General Motors, URS, ABB Group, DuPont and Schneider Electric as they present work safety topics.Following the seminar, tour the new Human Health Building and Oakland University’s state-of-the-art educational facilities.
