"Hug the Hall" event to celebrate MBH's national landmark designation

This summer, Meadow Brook Hall will open its grounds to celebrate its recent National Historic Landmark designation with a festive event featuring a picnic lunch, tours, entertainment and an opportunity to “Hug the Hall.”

Participants will enjoy a live musical performance by Oakland University alumna Jen Kincer on the Rock Garden lawn, take a tour of the first floor of The Hall, and cruise back in time with a ride in a vintage Dodge automobile. Kids of all ages can test their navigation skills in a National Historic Landmark scavenger hunt. The event will culminate with the first-ever group hug that will surround Meadow Brook Hall and a celebratory balloon release.

“Hug The Hall” is set for noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 20. Admission and all activities are free and open to the public. For additional information, visit meadowbrookhall.org or contact The Hall at (248) 364 -6263.
