Newly remodeled bonfire pit offers campus fun for students

By Samantha Skovran, media relations intern

Oakland University students can now spend their summer nights enjoying the newly remodeled bonfire pit on campus.

Relocated and refurbished this past spring, the new gathering place is located by the P-11 parking lot at the junction of Pioneer and Ravine.

“This new location will be a lot easier for students to get to,” said Jean Ann Miller Director of the Center for Student Activities. “I think it will get a lot more use now that it has been redone.”

Groups, organizations and individuals are allowed to use this bonfire pit at any time, but first must notify the Center for Student Activities before use.  To rent this space, contact the Center for Student Activities at (248) 370-2400.
